Wales Campsites and Glamping accommodation

We are optimistic by the announcement that all Welsh sites that can offer a 'self contained' experience, without shared facilities will be able to open on the 13th July. However this is subject to final confirmation on 9th of July at the latest. Again many of our sites will be working to the 'We’re Good To Go' standard, which is released to Wales on the 1st July.

PLEASE NOTE: There may well be different social distancing regulations in Wales compared to England, so check with your holiday provider for the details nearer your holiday arrival date.

We are pleased to confirm that all our England sites can open from the 4th July and most will be working to the 'We’re Good To Go' industry standard that has been put together by Visit Britain.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update 17/03/2020

Your holiday and the current situation with coronavirus

The Government has set out its action plan to tackle the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19). The current advice is for people to stay at home and self-isolate if displaying the following symptoms:

  • A high temperature
  • A new continuous cough

In accordance with the current advice, we ask that you do not go camping if you, or a member of your party are displaying these symptoms.

Your peace of mind

Greener Camping Club campsites are small (typically 5 to 15 pitches) and most are located in large countryside settings away from centres of population. Camping/glamping pitches are at least six metres apart - often very much more. The campsites are owner-managed by people who are passionate about your holiday enjoyment - and your welfare. We believe these factors, coupled with the fact that you will be holidaying in the 'great outdoors' will offer you some peace of mind during the weeks and months ahead.

If you need to cancel your booking

If you have the symptoms and you are booked to stay at a Greener Camping Club campsite, please notify the campsite by email or phone to discuss the cancellation or postponement of your booking. Each of our campsites has a cancellation policy, though these may vary from site to site.

Since our campsites are micro-lifestyle businesses, most if not all sites will prefer to offer alternative dates rather than make a refund. Please note that your Greener Camping Club membership fee is not refundable. However, if you accept a postponement to next year rather than a refund, the Club will provide complimentary membership for the 2021 season.

During your stay

Our campsite owners work very hard to keep their communal areas clean at all times - and will be re-doubling their efforts during the camping season.

During your stay we recommend the following precautions to minimise the spread of infection:

  • Do not share food, drinks, utensils, crockery, towels or other wash items with others.

  • Wash your hands thoroughly and frequently - or use the hand sanitisers where provided, following contact with the campsite's communal areas, or trips out.

  • Ensure all coughs and sneezes are caught in a tissue, which should be binned immediately. If you do not have a tissue, use the crook of your elbow instead.

  • Try to engage in ‘social distancing’ wherever possible. Avoid hand-shaking and close contact with others - maintain a distance of at least 2 metres.

  • Minimise contact in the communal areas where possible. Procedures for the use of communal areas may be put in place by the site owner.

  • If you or a member of your party start to display symptoms (high temperature, a new continuous cough) during your stay, you and your party must leave the campsite as soon as possible and self isolate.**

Government Advice - what to do if you have symptoms

Stay at home for 14 days if you have either:

  • A high temperature
  • A new continuous cough

If one person in any household has a persistent cough or fever, everyone living there must stay at home for 14 days. This will help to protect others in your community while you are infectious.

Do not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital. You do not need to contact NHS 111 to tell them you’re staying at home.
