Quarry Park Camping
Enjoy some calm, chilled out camping and glamping in the very heart of Pembrokeshire.
About: We are a family run site and are passionate about Pembrokeshire and enjoying it from the outdoors. Pembrokeshire is the ultimate outdoor play area - great for young children, adventure seekers and those who enjoy a good trail run, cycle ride or ramble. We would love to share our enjoyment of Pembrokeshire with you. It truly is a special place.
From the myths and legends of the Preselis and Landsker trail, to the modern day thrill-seeking of coasteering, climbing, abseiling or kayaking, we have experienced much of it ourselves. And if we haven't, we know how to direct you to someone who has.
Our family includes our dogs, cats and chickens, but don't worry, we don't let them run wild! Our quiet rural site is easy to get to, but when you're here, you are a million miles away from the hustle and bustle. We currently offer grass field pitches, with the introduction of our fabulous six metre yurt for the 2021 season. There is an undercover area (The Barn) for washing up, picnics, recycling and utilities.
Quarry Park is right in the centre of Pembrokeshire - a great base for exploring the north, west and south of the county. The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park is only a short hop away, with its 186 mile coast path, glorious sandy beaches and unspoilt vistas. The islands of Skomer and Ramsey are a nature-lover's paradise, whilst Caldey Island and the tourist spots of Tenby and Saundersfoot are also within easy reach. For walkers, there is easy access to the Preseli Hills and central Pembrokeshire with its Knight's Way and Landsker Borderlands trail. Narberth and Haverfordwest are within easy reach (10-15 minutes drive).
Once settled in and unloaded we are a no-traffic site, so the family can run free. We have a great covered area for washing up, picnics, phone charging and the use of our fridges. We believe in privacy and plenty of space – we don’t crowd our pitches together – as well as peace and quiet at night. For 2021 there are 10 well spaced pitches including our yurt (which sleeps 4 plus infant). With a back-to-nature feel, we don’t have electric hook-ups, but do have charging points in our barn.
Our two six metre yurts add some glamping to the site, with their own camp kitchens (gas hob), cooking and eating utensils, log burners firepits, composting toilets and hot showers (as well as access to all of our usual facilities).
We are dog friendly (under control/on leads/poo bin provided) and the site is ideal for families. Shower and toilet facilities were updated in 2020, and we added a herb garden for all to use – grab some mint for your mojito, or some rosemary for your barbecue kebabs. Your host is Matt (and family), who will make sure you are welcomed and have everything you need.
Worth Noting: Fire pits and picnic benches on each pitch. 43 acre smallholding with on-site barbecue supplies and local ice creams. Large covered area for damp days. Car park near pitches (but not on campfield itself) with wheelbarrows available to transport luggage. At peak times check-in on Mondays and Fridays only.
