Quarry Wood Camping

Nestling in 14 acres of meadow and woodland, Quarry Wood offers a tranquil and intimate camping experience for all the family.

About: We are a small, family run campsite and have a particular love of animals. During your stay you may encounter several of our extended family. We have pigs, alpacas, dogs, cats, a horse, chickens and peacocks - and are currently awaiting the arrival of donkeys from the donkey sanctuary. We are situated in an area of low light pollution, so on clear evenings, stargazing is a must.

Quarry Wood has four spacious camping pitches and a 'glamping' pod. Each pitch has its own covered seating area and campfire. We have composting and flushing toilets and hot showers. The campsite has a designated area for dog walking.

Quarry Wood is situated on the outskirts of picturesque St Florence village. Evidence of Flemish chimneys and characteristics of Pembrokeshire dating back to the 16th and 17th century can still be seen on cottages here. There are also two local pubs and an excellent village shop.

Attractions including Heatherton World of Activities and Manor Wildlife Park are within easy walking distance of the site. A short drive away is the hamlet of Carew which is dominated by 13th century Carew Castle that stands over a beautiful millpond.

Quarry Wood is an excellent base for exploring south Pembrokeshire. Tenby and Saundersfoot are nearby - both have an abundance of beaches and form sections of the Pembrokeshire coast path.

Worth Noting: For peace and enjoyment, the camping areas are car free. Car parking is close by and wheel barrows are provided to cart camping gear. We are a dog friendly site but ask that you keep them on a lead at all times.

Open: April to October for the glamping pod. Camping - unfortunately delayed opening until 2023 season.
