Kitewood Camping & Glamping
Immerse yourself in a Scandinavian style woodland camping experience, within Kitewood’s private nature reserve, just minutes from the sea, beaches and Pembrokeshire coast path.
About Kitewood: Set in over 55 acres of established woodland, with wildlife ponds, heath, moor and grassland and bounded by a brook along the land's northwestern edge. Kitewood is a truly wild place, hosting a myriad of wildlife and is a 100% carbon neutral enterprise. From May to September, Kitewood shares this natural habitat with like-minded off-grid campers.
At just 12 pitches total, each camping space is located within its own secluded, woodland glade - for a distinctive Scandinavian style woodland experience. Each pitch has its own private walk-in compost toilet and a further covered area - with a picnic table and a campfire stocked with unlimited free wood (sourced on site) so you can stay cosy and dry. We encourage you to use the fire for cooking (woodsman style!) and grates for forest cuisine preparation are provided. The Cwtch houses our hot showers and washing up facilities, as well as a covered social area. Should you opt for a glamping experience you’ll have your own kitchen area and exclusive wood fired hot tub!
This is genuine camping in the woods, with star speckled night skies, yet is only ten minutes from the north coast, with quiet beaches, coves for exploring, surfing, kayaking, coasteering and access to the 186-mile Pembrokeshire Coast Path.
The Celtic Trail Cycle Route (No 4) passes Kitewood's doorstep. St Davids and Newport are approximately 20 minutes in either direction, with the mystical Preseli Mountains just a little further away. Fishguard and Lower Town are 3-5 minutes drive and the ferry to Ireland and the local train station at Goodwick (direct route from London) and nearest beach, Goodwick Sands are all within just 1.8 miles.
Worth Noting: Kitewood is an off-grid, 100% carbon neutral campsite. Open for long weekends (Friday-Monday). Full weeks during school holidays, including May half term (Saturday-Saturday). Only biodegradable toiletries can be used at Kitewood and are therefore provided free to guests. Due to the wildlife on-site andsurrounding farmland, we are unable to accept dogs.
