unplug ∙ recharge ∙ grow ∙ be

Dee Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is on the doorstep, and Snowdonia National Park only a 15 minute drive away. There are many wonderful walks, plenty of cycle tracks and a plethora of places to explore in the local area and slightly further afield. Whilst Snowdonia can get very busy, the Berwyn Mountains are an unspoilt gem where often you will see no-one for hours on end. Whatever your preferred activity, from abseiling to ziplining, you’ll find it here in North Wales. Cynwyd, the nearest village, is within walking distance. You will find a small shop and pub there. There are lots of other great places to eat and plenty of shops close by in Corwen, Bala, Ruthin and Llangollen.

Accommodation is provided in two gorgeous, cosy, self-contained yurts, each with their own fully equipped kitchen and bathroom facilities. Although our property is completely off-grid, comfort and luxury are not sacrificed, with the yurts and their facilities lit, powered and heated using renewable/sustainable energy sources generated on site from sun, wind and rain. There are wood burning stoves in both yurts to keep them toasty warm.

Sheltered outdoor spaces are provided along with fire bowls and BBQs and we encourage you to get some outdoor cooking on the go during your stay! A Dutch oven and cast iron cookware are available.

Ty Crwn Bach Idris is a 4.5m yurt sleeping up to 4 with a fully equipped commercial grade kitchen/diner in a large log cabin, also containing a bathroom with hot power shower and flushing toilet.

Ty Crwn Mawr is an authentic 6.5m Mongolian Ger (also known as a yurt) sleeping up to 7 with a wooden cabin next to it containing a well equipped kitchenette and bathroom with a compost loo and hot shower.

Both yurts can be rented together for larger groups and then all facilities can be shared as required.

All crockery, cutlery, utensils, and pots/pans you’ll need are provided, along with duvets, pillows, blankets and clean bed linen. Both kitchens have hot and cold running water, sink, a gas cooker and a fridge. There is a dedicated parking area not far from the yurts with space to park 6-8 cars/carts/vans/spaceships etc. Families with children are welcome. Well behaved dogs allowed by prior agreement only. Experience life 'off-grid'. Come stay in a Ty Mam Mawr yurt!

Worth Noting: Sorry no pitches for caravans, trailer tents or tents. Sustainable wood powered heating. All electricity generated on site from renewable energy sources. 230v mains electricity and lighting in the yurts, kitchens, bathrooms and outside areas. Fresh, clean, filtered mountain spring water. Internet/WiFi available if required.
