Once Upon A Fell
Peaceful, secluded camping and 'glamping' on a family farm in Cumbria. Perfectly situated for walking, climbing, cycling and relaxing.

About: Once Upon A Fell is an eco-friendly campsite offering pitches with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside and access to footpaths and bridleways.
The campsite is located between the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales, adjacent to Hutton Roof Crags SSSI and Farleton Knott SSSI - with immediate access to the Fells.
Once Upon A Fell offers fully-furnished bell tents in their own private areas, along with spacious camping pitches for tents and campervans.
Each bell tent has a log burning stove, double-bed, two single beds (if required), campfire/BBQ, family size Mexican hammock and plenty of home comforts. The Top Meadow and The Bull Copy are completely self-contained, off-grid five metre bell tents, situated in their own private fields with toilet, shower, washing up and cooking areas.
The Green is a small and peaceful camping field with just three pitches and a 4.5 metre bell tent. It's a little piece of Cumbrian calm. Overlooking rolling hills and farmland and with views of Ingleborough, the Howgills and Lake District Fells, it’s the perfect place to relax, unwind and enjoy the natural surroundings.
With a maximum of seven units in total, our site is perfect for those looking for a restful and quiet break.
Worth Noting: Because we are a working dairy and sheep farm we are unable to accept dogs. Small campervans and trailer tents welcome but we are not suitable for caravans and motorhomes.
Number of Pitches: 7, including four glamping bell tents.
