Experience off-grid, 'nearly wild' camping on a dairy farm in Shropshire's Borderland countryside.
About: An off-grid, 'nearly wild' camping experience, on a dairy farm in the leafy Shropshire countryside. We have 10 pitches set in 11 acres of beautiful meadow. Wild Contentment offers a pared-back digital detox experience, where wild and affordable spaces meet the utterly sustainable. Our commitment is to make the countryside more accessible for all with our entry-level wild camping, whilst also providing oodles of hospitality, along with a few little luxuries, such as bell-tents, meal boxes, outdoor showers and roll top baths. The perfect place for a well needed Covid-safe catch up this summer. We are dog and campervan friendly.
On site we have tree swings, cricket/football pitch and a stream, so everyone can kickback and relax. Great walks of varying lengths can be taken from the site and safe cycling can be accessed along the towpath of the Montgomery canal. This is great for kids who are not yet safe on the road. For the more adventurous, mountain biking at the Revolution Bike Park can be found 20 minutes drive away and is truly awesome.
Other activities within a short drive include: Alderford Lake, Pistyll Rhaeder Waterfall, Park Hall Farm, Chester Zoo, Crocky Trail, Bewilderwood Cheshire, Lake Vrynwy, Quad Trekking, Shrewsbury Aqueducts, Wroxeter Roman City, Iron Bridge and four National Trust properties. There really is plenty to keep the whole family entertained!
Worth Noting: Shop and pubs nearby. Rock climbing, horse riding, golf and kayaking all within walkable distance. We are one mile from Offas Dyke.
