The Old Post Office
A laid back, get-away-from-it-all campsite, with otters (and nice hosts) for neighbours.
About: The Old Post Office is a quiet rural, adults only campsite that’s all set up for peace and quiet away from it all camping - so no children, dogs or amplified music are permitted.
With four pitches over two acres, there's plenty of space to set up camp and explore the glories of west Wales, or just sit, relax, take in the beautiful views and watch the redkites, buzzards and other local wildlife.
Greener living is important here: guests are provided with eco-friendly cleaning products - and a composting toilet, complete with soft, biodegradable, bamboo loo roll! Full recycling is also on site.
In the donkey stable, as well as a fridge/freezer and logs and kindling to buy for your campfire, there are a selection of games, books, maps and camping gear, in case you forget something. You can pick fresh produce, including herbs, from the garden or poly-tunnel and pop a few coins in the honesty box.
If you fancy a cooked breakfast, just order the day before and it will be delivered to your tent!
Take a short walk to the river and go wild swimming in the Teifi - you may even end up swimming with the otters.
This peaceful and laid back campsite is also a top spot when night falls. In an area of virtually no light pollution, what better way to end the day than by sitting next to your campfire, snuggling up and stargazing – look out for the Milky Way.
Worth Noting: We highly recommend the local pub in the village of Llanllwni, 1.5 miles from the campsite. You'll receive a warm welcome from James & Nia at the Tafarn y Talardd, along with real ales and great home cooking.
