About: Allercott Campsite is based on Exmoor National Park, on a working hill farm just four miles from the picturesque village of Dunster. The quiet site is located a few fields away from the farmstead. It’s remote enough to get your ‘wild back to nature’ fix but has luxuries like; hot showers, clean compost toilets, drinking water taps to each pitch, picnic table and campfires - just to make your camping experience that little bit easier.

The six acre meadow has 10 pitches suitable for tents and campervans. Drive up to your pitch to set up and leave your car in the designated parking zone a few metres away. The pitches have ample room for up to three tents (two small, one large) with a large no-mow buffer zone between each pitch. An area of the meadow will be mown at all times, perfect for the kids to kick a ball around.

Well behaved dogs are most welcome, although we ask that they are always kept on a lead in the camping meadow. We offer a four mile marked route around the farm which takes you past ancient lime kilns and down to the Valley of Clicket, where ruins remain of a lost village deserted at the end of the 19th century.

Nearby at Luxborough (approx. 3 miles) there is the Royal Oak, a lovely country pub with great food. We also offer home cooked, wood-fired pizzas every Saturday night! The nearest beach is Dunster (4.5 miles), however there are lots of great beaches to visit including Minehead, Porlock Wier and Lee Bay.

Worth Noting: We are a working farm so at times there may be some tractor noise. As we are just over 900ft above sea level it can get chilly at night!
